Mormon Scholars Testify

A study by the Pew Foundation of religion in America found that the restored gospel of Jesus Christ is opposite from all other faiths in that the most well-educated among them are the most active in the faith. This is due to the depth of Latter-day Saint philosophy, and the Gift of the Holy Ghost, which conveys revelation, thereby opening further realms of knowledge. Members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints are urged in modern scripture to learn from the best books and to obtain truth wherever they can find it, to learn about history, geography, and the cultures of the world.

And as all have not faith, seek ye diligently and teach one another words of wisdom; yea, seek ye out of the best books words of wisdom; seek learning, even by study and also by faith (Doctrine and Covenants 88:118).

And set in order the churches, and study and learn, and become acquainted with all good books, and with languages, tongues, and people (Doctrine and Covenants 90:15).

If thou shalt ask, thou shalt receive revelation upon revelation, knowledge upon knowledge, that thou mayest know the mysteries and peaceable things—that which bringeth joy, that which bringeth life eternal (Doctrine and Covenants 42:61).

And this greater priesthood administereth the gospel and holdeth the key of the mysteries of the kingdom, even the key of the knowledge of God (Doctrine and Covenants 84:19).

While the world assumes that scholars tend to be cynical and irreligious, Mormon scholars bear testimony to the truthfulness of the gospel of Jesus Christ.
