Nathan Mitchell Mormon Actor

Nathan Mitchell is assistant executive director for the Anasazi Foundation’s Direct Care team and facilitator for Anasazi’s parenting program but is also known for his on-screen performances as Joseph Smith in Joseph Smith: Prophet of the Restoration, Praise to the Man, Emma Smith: My Story, and Treasure in Heaven: The John Tanner Story. He portrayed James G. Willie in 17 Miracles and Simon Peter in The Life of Jesus Christ Bible videos.

Mitchell earned his Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in acting from Brigham Young University and his master’s degree in mental health counseling from the University of Phoenix. He was a family therapist/shadow for Anasazi, a therapist at a Utah-based therapeutic boarding school (where he developed the school’s drama therapy program), a psychiatric clinical assistant, and an adolescent life coach at a residential treatment center.

He and his wife are the parents of four children. He is a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
