Mormon A Cappella group, Noteworthy

Noteworthy is a female a cappella group whose members are all students at Brigham Young University and are members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (Mormon Church). They were asked to compete in NBC’s televised a cappella challenge, The Sing Off, in winter 2009. The group was one of eight chosen out of the nearly 3,000 that auditioned to participate in the finals. Noteworthy was the third group eliminated.

The taping of the show was scheduled just before fall semester finals. The girls flew back and forth to California and handled the demands of the show while they finished their classes. The competitors included the all-male group Nota from Puerto Rico, who won the competition on Monday's finale, the Beelzebubs from Tufts University, and Maxx Factor, a women’s barbershop quartet from Baltimore.

Noteworthy came to be in January 2004. They released their first album, On the Horizon, in 2006, and it was nominated for a Contemporary A cappella Recording Award. In 2007 they were named champions at the International Championship of Collegiate A cappella.

The group has a YouTube channel created in 2012.
