Pahoran is a character from the Book of Mormon that fought against his brothers Pacumeni and Paanchi for the judgment seat vacated by their father Pahoran upon his death in the 40th year of the reign of judges. By the voice of the people, he was given the judgement seat over his brothers. While Pacumeni followed the people, Paanchi began a rebellion against Pahoran. Paanchi was caught, tried, and condemned to death. This led to his followers and specifically, Kishkumen, to assassinate Pahoran as he sat on the judgment-seat in the 40th year of the reign of judges. [1]
