Paul Duerden has been the general manager of the Covey Center for the Arts in Provo, Utah, since May 2007. For a time he taught the theater management class at Brigham Young University.

With Thom Duncan and J. Scott Bronson, Duerden formed the Nauvoo Theatrical Society, which hoped to produce LDS-oriented plays and musicals. The venture lasted one season.

Duerden is a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He earned his Bachelor of Arts in communications and his Master of Public Administration degrees from BYU.
