Richard G. Oman is an art historian and was the curator at the Museum of Church History and Art, owned and operated by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, of which he is a member. He has published articles about art and religious art, especially LDS art. He is the author of Images of Faith: Art of the Latter-Day Saints with Robert O. Davis.

Oman was reared in Moses Lake, Washington. He earned his bachelor’s degree from Brigham Young University and a graduate degree from the University of Washington. He worked at the Seattle Art Museum during graduate school.
