He was released on September 30, 2006. He has also served as a bishop, high councilor, and stake presidency counselor and presided over the Paraguay Asuncion Mission.
He was born on April 12, 1943, in the colonies in northern Mexico (Chuichupa, Chihuahua, Mexico), and was educated at Church schools in Mexico.
