Sal Velluto is a comic book illustrator. He drew stories on notebook papers when he was ten years old and traded with his friends. He even tried to sell them subscriptions to his work. At age twelve, the Italian Batman comic book published one of his drawings. He began working in comic book illustration professionally through Marvel in 1988. He moved to DC Comics in 1992, returning to Marvel in 1999. He has also drawn extensively independently.

Among his credits are Power Pack, Moon Knight, Silver Surfer, Black Panther (Marvel); X-O Manowar (Valiant); Green Hornet (Now); Armor (Continuity); Lazarus Ledd (Star Comics); Justice League Task Force, Firebrand, Justice League (JLA) and Justice Society (JSA) titles, Aquaman and the Flash occasionally (DC Comics); the Phantom (Egmont/Frew); and Bloodshot reimagined (Acclaim).

He has also created trading cards and character designs for video games such as Sony Play Station’s Jet Moto.
