Sarah Beard is a Young Adult novelist. She is the author of Porcelain Keys and Beyond the Rising Tide. The latter is a 2016 Whitney Award finalist in the speculative young adult fiction category.
Beard earned her bachelor’s degree in communications from the University of Utah and is working toward her Master of Fine Art degree in creative writing from Virginia College of Fine Arts.
She is a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She and her husband and three sons live in Utah. Beard is a breast cancer survivor.
