Shawna J. C. Tenney Mormon Illustrator

Shawna J. C. Tenney is an illustrator and author of children’s books. Brunhilda’s Backwards Day was her first book as both author and illustrator.

She earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in illustration from Brigham Young University and since that time has illustrated many children’s books, games, and magazines. Titles include Rosie the Reindeer; The Wind in the Willows; Peter Pan; Beauty and the Beast; The Truth About Ogres; The Mismatched Nativity; When I Take the Sacrament, I Remember Jesus; as well as the Wizards of the Wild card game.

Tenney is a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She and her husband and children live in Utah.
