Spencer Burhoe Mormon Model

Spencer Burhoe, a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, is a model signed with agencies from Milan to Miami. He served a full-time mission to Japan, turning down a offer from Prada in order to do so.

Burhoe, from Salt Lake City, Utah, took up modeling at age 17 as a joke on his father.

I worked installing hardwood floors during high school and always came home dirty. My dad taped a “models wanted” ad he snipped from the newspaper on my door one day, and we had a good laugh.

He and his mother extended the joke when they went to a casting call when his father was out of town so that they could tell him what they had done. The talent recruiter, however, signed him on the spot. He began by posing for local photographers and working local bridal shows.

Modeling agent Erin Olson noticed his photos on Facebook, and signed him. During his first semester at Brigham Young University, he modeled at Milan fashion week twice. After his mission, he was re-scouted and he has been modeling professionally since then.

Burhoe communicates with his agencies about what he is and is not comfortable doing. His profession has taken him to exotic destinations such as Italy, Singapore, Australia, and more. He has worked for brands like Ralph Lauren and Calvin Klein, and his work includes many magazine photo shoots.
