The Teresina Brazil Temple is the 9th announced temple for Brazil. Teresina is the capital city of the Brazilian state of Piauí. The inland city is located in northern Brazil. Teresina and the surrounding area have a population of nearly one million residents. The first known members of the Church of Jesus Christ to live in Brazil immigrated from Germany in 1913.
