Timothy the Disciple in the Book of Mormon was the brother of Nephi, Son of Nephi. Timothy had been stoned to death by the wicked prior to Christ's visit to the Americas (3 Ne. 7: 19). Nephi then raised Timothy from the dead. Jesus called Timothy to be one of the twelve disciples (3 Ne. 19: 4).
