The Book of Mormon
Zenephi was a Nephite army leader in the great and last battle between the Nephites and the Lamanites. In the Book of Moroni, Moroni copies a second letter written by his father Mormon prior to being killed by the Lamanites. In the letter he explains how Zenephi added to the plight of the widows of Sherrizah. Having fled to a tower, the Lamanites came and killed all the men of the town. Then they cruely forced the women and children to eat their fathers' flesh and little else. As the Lamanites left, they took the majority of the town's food supply with them. What little remained was then taken by Zenephi and his armies. Left with no food, many wandered and died. [1]
