Randy D. Funk Mormon Leader

Randy D. Funk is a retired attorney and partner in a Colorado law firm. He is an emeritus General Authority of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and was sustained as a General Authority Seventy on April 6, 2013. He was released on October 1, 2022.

Funk was born in Logan, Utah, on August 1, 1952. He earned a bachelor’s degree in history from Utah State University. He received a juris doctor degree from the University of Utah Law School three years later. He was an attorney and partner in the law firm of Sherman & Howard LLC in Denver, Colorado. He served on the board of directors of several community organizations, including the Denver Area Council of the Boy Scouts of America.

As a young man, Funk served a full-time mission in Indonesia. He has also served as bishop, stake high councilor, stake president, and Area Seventy. He was president of the India Bangalore Mission at the time of his call to the Seventy.

Funk and his wife, Andrea Clyde, have six children.
