He was sustained on March 31, 2007, and had served previously as a member of the Fourth Quorum of the Seventy and as an Area Seventy. Some of his areas of assignment have included Assistant Executive Director in the Temple Department, a member of the Boundary and Leadership Change Committee, and second counselor in the Caribbean Area Presidency. Prior to his call as a general authority, he served as elders quorum president, institute teacher, bishop, stake high councilor, and temple ordinance worker.
