Aoyagi was born on March 24, 1945, in Matsumoto, Nagano, Japan. He studied foreign trading for two years at Kanagawa University. He received his real estate license from the Japan Real Estate Academy. He then worked for the Church as a real estate and construction manager in the Asia North Area office in Tokyo. He also worked as a sales chief at Nippon Sangyo Trading Company. and senior sales manager at Young Living Japan Company.
