Stanford Malzahn Ellsworth is perhaps best known as the Harley-riding host of the popular American history documentary series “American Ride,” which aired for 6 seasons on BYUtv and gave him a regional Emmy award. He earned his bachelor’s degree in history from Brigham Young University. He authored Renegades & Rebels: Epic & True Stories of our Revolutionary Heroes

He also played football for BYU and coached at the college and university level.

Ellsworth was also an actor and appeared in The Luck of the Irish, Churchball, High School Musical 3, and Dadnapped.

He served a full-time mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the France Toulouse mission.

Ellsworth was born in Salt Lake City, Utah, on June 20, 1959, and passed away on March 30, 2023. He and his wife, Stacey, had a blended family of six children.
